A Little Conundrum

Approxamitely once a day I walk by a vending machine in between classes.  When the vending machine makes a "vmhrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" sound and flashes "Please Wait" every time I do so, I question: Whose brilliant idea was it to put a motion sensor on a vending machine?  (I actually thought I was imagining things the first four or five times this happened)  If an animal, person, or objext of any kind said "vmhrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" at me I would avoid it.  Consequently I have never bought anything from a Stephens vending machine.

Now this has been bothering me for some time, but I wanted to share with you because today I was walking down (steep, ice covered) stairs to get to the dance studio when the outdoor light flickered off.  I would normally think nothing of it, but every time I walk out past my dorm building to get to my car in the dead of the night the outdoor light blinks off.  Which leads me to the clear conclusion that the motion sensored outdoor lights are wired to work in reverse.

No here's the final question:  WHO WIRED THIS CAMPUS?  If the lights blinked on and said "vmhrrrrrrrrrr" when you walked by they would scare away the creepers, and if the vending machines blinked off when you walked by then maybe someone would actually feel comfortable going near them.

So there you have it.
